Defensive tackle Anthony Adams was a serviceable, but not spectacular, NFL player. A second round draft pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2003, Adams played with the 49ers for four seasons, before signing with the Chicago Bears in 2007. Out of the game since 2011, Adams recently decided to officially retire at age 32. Happens all the time, right? Well, how many guys do you know that retire with a video like this:
More NFL players should have Anthony Adams’ sense of humor and humility (looking at you, T.O. and OchoCinco). Ironically enough, Adams released this video poking fun at how few media entities would care if he retired, and not many have noticed because they were all fixated on the NCAA tournament. If Ed Reed signing with the Texans was pushed to the back pages, Adams retirement had no shot at any real publicity. People have still noticed, though:
I appreciate all the job offers this morning!!! Hahahahahahahahaha
