Michael Salazar suffered a whole different sort of ‘Irish Curse’ on Friday.
Salazar, the Cleveland Indians assistant trainer, bet head strength and conditioning coach Joe Kessler that Notre Dame would win the BCS Championship Game against Alabama in January. Since the Fighting Irish got pasted, Salazar had to wear a crimson Speedo and an Alabama hat while attending to the Tribe’s players on Friday.

The bet was intended to expose just the lower half of Salazar’s body, but Indians’ right-hander Justin Masterson snatched his shirt away, leaving him looking like a ‘Magic Mike’ reject while prowling the fields at Goodyear, Ariz.
New Indians manager Terry Francona and GM Chris Antonetti were in attendance to witness the public shaming. Hard to believe that new OF Nick Swisher and 1B Jason Giambi didn’t just bro-down and join in the fun by dropping their pants and dancing with Salazar.
