Mississippi’s Marshall Henderson and his Rebels teammates had their asses handed to them, 98-79, by No. 21 Missouri on Saturday afternoon. Because of his on-court antics, Henderson has quickly become a college basketball phenomenon, loved by Ole Miss fans and despised by almost everyone else. The SEC’s leading scorer had a bad outing against Mizzou, scoring just 16 points on 4-of-15 shooting. College basketball fans on Twitter noticed right away.

The Missouri Antlers, the Tigers’ amped-up student section, taunted Henderson throughout the game with chants like “Big 12 Reject.” The crowd watching at home was not impressed with the Rebels’ star either, especially after the ESPN interview with Henderson prior to the game.

During the second half, a scrap broke out between the Tigers and the Rebels and, somehow, Henderson did not get involved. Instead, he acted as a peacekeeper, much to the mockery of Twitter.

It doesn’t really matter. Ole Miss is almost certain to make the NCAA tournament, where Henderson and his personality will probably get at least one prime time, national game.
