Super Bowl Power Failure

Some of the lights in the Superdome in New Orleans went out during the third quarter of Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday night, causing play to be stopped.

The power outage happened immediately following a sack of Niners’ quarterback Colin Kaepernick by the Ravens’ Arthur Jones.

Several media members inside the Superdome tweeted pictures of the lights going out at the Super Bowl.

UPDATE: As of approximately 9:10 (ET) the lights were back on, and the teams had resumed play.
