While you were sleeping, a new face in American tennis cleared a hurdle in her march towards stardom. 19-year-old Sloane Stephens beat Serena Williams in Australia to reach the semis via a three-set match that ESPN will be talking about throughout the day.
Meanwhile, we were mesmerized this morning by the guy who wedgie bombed ESPN’s South Carolina-Missouri crew. You just never know what screencappers will find while they’re watching some meaningless SEC basketball game in January.
Jennifer Capriati probably missed the Serena match, too.
In other college basketball news, Sam Ponder might want to file the divorce papers. Nice glasses, dbag.

That’s ESPN’s Shannon Spake getting a little too formal for a sideline reporter. Cocktail date after the game, Shannon?
Finally, Rex Ryan is back on the cover of the NY Post. He just keeps giving this offseason.
