That was the scene on Baltimore’s Charles Street in the city’s Federal Hill neighborhood last Saturday night, after the Ravens rallied to beat the Denver Broncos, 38-35, in two overtimes. Fans in purple rejoiced in the streets with their “Seven Nation Army” chant, and this busty lady flung her funbags into the January air like Joe Flacco’s game-saving, 70-yard touchdown pass to Jacoby Jones.
This week, Ravens’ fans geared up their hype with Purple Friday and basically attacking Tom Brady’s masculinity whenever they could. The streets of Baltimore will be empty tomorrow at 6:30 p.m., as fans crowd pubs in neighborhoods like Federal Hill, Fell’s Point and Canton hoping that linebacker Ray Lewis can lead his team to another victory — and a Super Bowl berth. They probably hope it doesn’t come down to the kicker.
